In 2015, Phuket was the first city in Southeast Asia to be appointed a Creative City of Gastronomy. Thanks to UNESCO, the appointment put Phuket’s local dishes on the radar and kickstarted a series of food-related street art in Phuket Town known as the Food Art Old Town project. As Phuketian dishes like Ang Ku (Red tortoise cake), O-Taw, and the famous Vegetarian Festival started to catch the public eye, their dessert scene also sprang up to life.
When strolling around Phuket Old Town on a hot day, one simply cannot resist a cold delicious treat to freshen up. In this article, we’ll be exploring the best ice cream in Phuket Old Town that sweet tooth enthusiasts should not miss.

📍Thalang Road (Old Town)
A small ice cream stand that brings the playful Turkish ice cream experience straight to Phuket Town. After numerous attempts of trying to grab your order from the vendor, you’ll finally get to have a taste of creamy rich ice cream on a cone. Without a doubt, the fun prank performance and the ice cream itself will lighten up your mood immediately. Mainly enjoyable for the fun experience (without having to go all the way to Turkey), this place only offers 3 flavors; chocolate, vanilla, and coconut but still worth a visit.
