BEGIN is designed to help you take the first step on your yoga journey with personalised support in an uplifting environment. You’ll dive in and explore yoga asana- the physical practice of yoga - as well as meditation and pranayama or breathing techniques, plus the key themes around yoga philosophy that will elevate your life both on and off the yoga mat.
BEGIN is ideal for anyone who is new to yoga or in the early stages of their yoga journey. You’ll enjoy the personalised guidance and support of your own VIKASA certified wellness practitioner for a full week in order to get the most out of your experience.
This is a holistic program that offers a deep dive into yoga for body, mind and soul, whilst being accessible to all ages, levels and capabilities. Your wellness practitioner will work alongside you to meet your yoga goals and work with your unique body type to ensure your practice is safe and sustainable.
You’ll gain a strong foundation to practise at home and also introduce the lessons of yoga into your everyday life for greater holistic wellbeing.
The Ultimate Beginners Yoga Program
Yoga is more than some fancy shapes you make on a yoga mat. It has the potential to transform your daily routines and help you to unlock your true potential- in all areas of your life.
BEGIN is an ideal option for beginners as it provides a one-on-one immersive introduction to the techniques and teachings of traditional Hatha Yoga, The VIKASA Method, Pranayama and Meditation. These are tools to create awareness, gain clarity, alleviate stress and help you find balance. You’ll work together with your wellness practitioner for either 4 or 7 days in beautiful Phuket, Thailand.

Yoga Style
BEGIN is built on the foundations of Hatha Yoga which is suitable for all levels. You will learn the Vikasa Method which has a strong focus on the breath, the physical postures and the inner journey.
Duration of training
The program is available in either a 3 night/4 days or 6 nights/7days format to suit your preferences. This can be booked any time of the year, there are no set dates.
Food
Twice daily healthy meals – breakfast and dinner, are included in your program, selected from the special VIKASA menu at Mingle Eatery restaurant.
Skill Level
BEGIN is open to anyone, there is no prior experience required. Your instructor will meet you at your level and cater the program to suit your exact needs and goals.

Your private instructor who will support you on the BEGIN program is a VIKASA Academy teacher, who provides personal coaching to ensure a safe practice, proper alignment and solid foundation. You will learn poses and techniques that bring both your mind and body into balance. Plus, you’ll take home a detailed work book and gain access to a 30 day post-stay digital program so you can easily continue your yoga journey beyond your time with us.
